Wear your Attitude

Going by the mere meaning of the question, I would say I normally wear clothes which I am comfortable in and which suit my personality. I need to be dressed to please myself first before I can impress someone else. I stay in India and mostly wear Indian clothes. I wear western outfits also but on a day to day basis it is more of Indian wear. But apart from the clothes I put on, two things I never forget to wear. One is I wear a smile on my face every time and my positive attitude of never say never.

Sound of Music

My all time favourite movie is Sound Of Music. It is such a wonderful movie and it can be watched by any genre of people. It is a musical and highly enjoyable. Even at this age when I have two kids of my own; I can still give anything to watch the movie again. It is full of such lovely songs that I remember when we were young; we would sing these songs in competition and concerts. I still relate to the movie very much and have kept it fresh and alive by teaching my kids the movie’s song and am very sure about one thing. When my kids grow a little bit older, I will surely make them watch this classic and request them to take this legendary movie forward to the next generation.

A Sweater for a Dog?

We have all seen them, dogs decked out in fancy sweaters out walking with their owners.  Do they really need a cute dog sweater when they go outdoors, or are the sweaters simply a gaudy fashion accessory?  Dogs come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and coat types.  Large breeds with heavy coats do not need a sweater when going outdoors for a walk.  They tend to have a thick undercoat that is very efficient at keeping in their body heat. Other breeds – typically the small breeds, have thinner and finer coats than their large breed cousins.  Breeds such as Whippets, and Chihuahuas are good examples of dogs with thin coats.  Small dogs with short,  fine coats may have trouble tolerating  cold winter temperatures,  and may be more comfortable going outdoors on walks with a sweater on to protect them from the cold. Dogs do not naturally take to wearing sweaters.  It will take a little bit of time for them to get accustomed to wearing one, but your small dog may feel more comfortable when going out for those long winter walks.

The Reward Program

A picture of my mother and my son.

My daily routine mostly revolves around my two kids. I have a 7 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. They say nowadays, daughters are much sharper and naughtier than the boys but I feel the second sibling is always much sharper because he/she emulates a lot from their older sibling apart from a mind of their own. So with 2 dynamites to take care of, I do not know when from getting up in the morning, it is already time for bed to go through the same routine the next day again. Although at times it is very tiring and I feel like running away from all this but I feel all the efforts are worth it when I see my kids with a twinkle in their eyes and a smile of satisfaction. Then I know I have been aptly rewarded and no job in this world could remunerate me with such rewards. After the birth of my daughter, had left my job to care of my infant full time as I do not believe leaving my child with a caretaker.

The Significant Others

The most enjoyable place I have ever gone to is Maldives. Knowing my passion to see and explore new places and my affinity for water, Maldives tour was a gift from my husband on our fist anniversary. It was really special, especially because my husband is a non swimmer and not very fond of water but for my liking, gifted this destination travel to me. The place is an island with deep blue water all around. We took an air taxi ride to have the aerial scenic beauty view. It was a breath taking view. I enjoyed the place because it was the first time I went deep sea walking to see a school of fishes and also swam deep into the sea to see the coral reef. My poor husband sat near the sea shore basking in the sun and waiting for me. I guess this is called true love where one does not look for your benefit but to make your significant half happy and content.

Money making machine or relaxing?

Everyone has a hobby or two and surely I also fall in the category of everyone. This question is being answered in a very plain and simple way. My hobbies are singing, swimming and traveling to different places and exploring new places. To put it straight and simple, I have been able to pursue my hobbies to some extent even now. The ideal situation would be if your hobby becomes your profession but very few are able to achieve it. But my opinion is that hobby should remain a hobby of liking and not become your profession because once your hobby becomes money making machine, somewhere you lack the passion and the liking for your hobby and would do it at a same mundane way without putting any efforts into it. Hobby is something which gives you satisfaction and a way to distress yourself from the grilling tasks of life.

The Dumping Ground

The most recent dinner I had would be yesterday. Believe me when you become a mother, you become the dumping station for your kids. If they can’t finish their food, it is always taken for granted that mommy will finish it for them. That is the sorry state of affairs in my house too. So if I have to summarise of my recent dinner, it would be part of my son’s dinner and part of my daughter’s dinner and after stuffing all this, I was not at all prepare d to have my own dinner. Talk about being a dustbin. But at the end of it, if my kids have had a fill of their share, I am satisfied with my dinner too.

Pitter Patter Rain Drops

Afternoon Rains, Colorado

All the seasons bring with them some freshness and a reason to fret and fume. All the seasons are important to have to break the monotony in our lives and to relive our lives in different forms of weather conditions but one of my all times favourite season is the monsoon. I still remember when we were school kids, we had to walk to our bus stop to catch the bus and during rainy season, the roads used to be filled with water and we used to wear our raincoats and gum boots and wade through water to reach our bus stop. Those memories are very fresh in my mind even today and seeing my kids do that now, it gets the past back to the present. Given a chance, I can still go out and have a wale of a time in the rains and have a rain dance but I guess I satisfy myself seeing my kids enjoy the pitter patter of the rain drops.

Is your dog a little angel or a devil?

Is your dog shaped like a pumpkin or a banana?  When considering cute Halloween costumes for dogs it is good to go with something that shows off both your dogs build and personality!  Of course, there are challenges for those with very small or very large dogs.  A store bought Halloween costume just might not work.  Then is when you have to get creative.  First get an idea of what you think your dog should ‘be’.  Then go on a scavenger hunt to see what materials are available and what you will need to purchase.  Always keep in mind that with a home-made costume safety will need to be considered.  Don’t use materials that can hurt the dog, such as anything made of metal or that have sharp edges.  Also, be careful of what you put near the dogs face.  Consider if the dog is used to wearing either bandanas, or other decorative wear.  The dog shouldn’t have to spend time trying to get free of the costume.  Some dogs seem to like playing dress-up while others don’t.  When buying a store-bought costume be sure to remember the safety of your dog as well.  There are some really great costumes available for dogs and you can always buy the costume and then add accessories to it to make your dogs look unique.  Or if your dog does not want to celebrate Halloween in full costume, a well picked accessory item can be just as cute and festive.  Whatever the choice of costume, make sure to take lots of photos!  Happy Halloween!!!

Parent-Job Description

Cow juice or milkshakes

Being a parent naturally gets you a job. One does not need to scour through any job portals or classified for searching for a job. You land up with one without even asking for one. Same goes with me .My job started  from early morning when my 2 year daughter woke up at 6.30AM.Gave her, her bottle of milk and then it was time to wake up my 7 year old son at 7A.M because in an hour’s time he had to be bathed and done with breakfast and ready for school. He had a Maths exam today for which he went very confidently. After packing my son to school, for taking out some personal time for myself went for a walk at the park. Came back and packed my daughter to her play school where she has newly joined. Stayed there for 3 hours with her. Half the day was done with and this evening took my son cycling to the park and its time for me to get my daughter back from my mom’s place.
