Apples, Cinnamon, Raisins and … Sardines?

I really enjoy watching the cooking show “Chopped”.  It has everything!  Drama, comedy, heart-stopping action, competition, thrills, passion, creativity and bizarre food combinations!  When those four chefs open their baskets, I am on the edge of my seat to see what is in them this episode!  Will it be frogs legs and marshmallows?  Gummy bears and filet mignon?  Horned Melon and Rocky Mountain Oysters?  I really admire those chefs for doing battle in a small kitchen in a short period of time with baskets full of strange food combinations.  I usually pick my favorite early on, and it’s usually not the chef who -thinks- they will win

The happiest

Your dog may be happiest when it’s covered in mud from rolling on the ground or dripping with water after swimming, but you always want your dog to look its best. Health is an important component to a dog’s appearance- a well-fed dog will have a shiny coat and well built appearance. You can improve your dog’s look by choosing and using from the wide range of discount dog grooming supplies available on the market. Special brushes can help deal with shedding hair and remove knots to keep your dog’s coat sleek and silky. As a bonus, the special time you spend brushing your dog will help build a bond between you and your pet. Avoid that “wet dog smell” by using specially formulated dog shampoos and conditioners. Don’t forget also to trim your dog’s nails and keep its coat at a comfortable length- a comfy dog is a happy dog. Follow these tips and you’ll have a happy, healthy dog that you’ll be proud to show off.

My Family Is My World

Sure, it’s hokey.  I don’t care.  My family means the world to me.  We are a small family – just a mother and two children who are now adults.  We are the Three Musketeers.  We are all for one and one for all.  It’s always been that way, and it will always be that way.  Yes, we are separated by years, by locations, by different life experiences.  Doesn’t matter.  When one of us needs the others, we are right there.  Every single time.  That’s what family, real family, is all about.  It’s about what you can give to each other, not what you can take.

Chinese Crested Dogs

Chinese Cresteds are a wonderful and fun breed to own. They come in two varieties, Hairless and Powderpuff and are both varieties are born in the same litter. They are a member of the toy group and come in many colors. Hairless Chinese Cresteds need to have special attention paid to their skin to keep it clear of blemishes; they need sunscreen if they are in the sun because they can become sunburned. It is common for the Hairless variety to lose teeth. The Powderpuff variety is called that because when fully coated, they resemble a ‘powderpuff’. They need to be brushed often and bathed weekly. They have a wonderful and clownish personality. They love affection and give quite a bit back.
