Fashionista…

This is terrible, but I actually have on the same clothes today as the ones I wore yesterday.  Pretty gross, I know, but laundry day has come and gone and I am quite lazy.  I am sporting my socks with giant holes on the heels, scuffed-up black Converse sneakers, light-wash denim jeans, a blue T-shirt I got on clearance at American Eagle, and a teal hoodie that needs to be thrown out. It’s not that bad, though.  I used to never throw clothes out, and my family would actually have to have an intervention just to get me to give up my tattered clothes.  By past standards I am quite the fashionista.

Dressing Your Dog In Style

These days there are a huge range of collars to choose from but many owners only have one for their pet. Dog owners need to get more adventurous. An examination of the collars available in pet shops found that collars, and leads too, range from fluffy, baby pink ones, made to suit small female poodles, to thick leather collars with studs, made with the biggest male Doberman in mind. A design in the middle of these extremes will probably be popular with most owners. If you want to choose pink for a girl and blue for a boy, rather than trying plain colors for these, try shaded, tartan or spotted collars, so at least you’ll be varying the shade. There are many more colors and designs to choose from, green tartan, which suits most dogs, plain red which is always a smart choice and traditional brown leather, suitable for a walk in the countryside. On special days why not give your dog a treat by letting him or her dress for the occasion? Small Christmas dog collars look great. They can be glittery if it suits your dog’s style or, if he or she is a quieter character, why not choose one with green and red holly prints?

Big Bang Theory

I could not be more addicted to a show called Big Bang Theory.  That has got to be one of the funniest shows to ever be aired on television.  If you have not seen it, do yourself a favor and give the show a chance.  Unlike most situation comedies, it is filled with wit and nerd humor.  The main character, Sheldon, has an undiagnosed case of Asperger’s syndrome, so he is extremely smart but does not know how to deal with people.  His poor roommate has to put up with his craziness.  They are both physicists and huge nerds to boot.  I love it!

The Daily Life of a Teacher

242/365: Lesson plans

My life is actually quite chaotic, and after a great deal of discipline, I have gotten the hang of a schedule.  I wake up every morning at five and have a cup of tea.  Without tea, well, it just won’t be a very good day.  Then I shower, get dressed and head off to work.  After spending at least an hour in the car, I get to work.  There I tutor children in math and reading.  It is actually a thankless job as I am not a regular classroom teacher. At the end of the day I work on lesson plans and head home.  Not even two minutes after I get home I am fast asleep.
