Waltzing Matilda Meets The Maple Leaf Forever

If I could take a vacation anywhere, I would go to Australia. It is a place that fascinates me, maybe because it is so similar to Canada in society. However, the nature is vastly different, as is the climate and the heritage.  It will cost a fortune to go there, so if it’s a “free” trip, that is my first choice. The two people I would take with me are my children, and then pay for an extra seat for my husband! We have all travelled together for years, and it is comforting to know how each other behaves in hotel rooms, when we all need to eat and when we need to take a break. That makes for a low-maintenance holiday!

Reflections on Christmas 2010

The best  thing about this last holiday period was that none of us was sick, and we have all had a good rest from the daily routine. It seems a long holiday and we all took advantage of it. Three weeks is a long time to be out of routine, however, and we all will be glad when the stores are back to regular hours, the work day is back in swing, and family activities are back on line.  The thing I liked least was not seeing my love, who has moved 1500 kilometres away and his love seems to be fading.

Better than wife

Whatever I have in my life I would like to have the best of all. Likewise I like to have my dogs in my life as I have the habit of providing good food, good clothes, good sleeping beds and even dog collars. This is because I am more interested in pets as I had some strong love since my childhood. They are like my dogs. I would take them with me wherever I go and whenever in my house. . They would leave even If I go outside. They are like my brothers and sisters and they are showing a lot of affection on all time. Life is nothing without them. They have been provided with all facilities in my life even better than my wife.

Musings For The Year Ahead

So, after looking back at 2010, what are the hopes for 2011? Well, of course we all want the end of wars, famines, economic uncertainty, disease and bad governments. But, let’s break it down into more manageable hopes. Let’s hope for all of us to just soften our hearts a little bit, be more pleasant and easy to get along with and think of others before ourselves. There is a popular saying – think of JOY, which is “Jesus first, Others second and Ourselves last”. If we all adopted that mantra, it would go a long way to smoothing the tatters of interpersonal relationships that make war, bad government and economic uncertainty!
