The choice of a White Dog as a pet is fine, unless the target is non-traditional color for the breed. Nontraditional White Dogs are the result of recessive genes passed from both parent dogs. This recessive gene is usually accompanied by other genes affecting the well-being of the dog. They like to eat from stainless steel elevated dog feeders too. This article describes some of the difficulties encountered by dog owners of non-traditional white. Thinking of a white dog as a pet? When the target is a standard color of the race, as Samoyed, American Eskimo, Akita or Great Pyrenees, then all you have to do is choose one, take home and make your dream with your new buddy. If you are attracted to the traditional non-white in a class, such as a German shepherd, Great Dane or Boxer, you should do a little research on what may be getting into. Both parents must carry the recessive gene for white. The gene is then passed to the puppy and the dog has White fur. This should not be confused with albino dogs. Albinos have no pigment at all. A white dog has been white fur only. The nose and eyelids are the same color as the rest of the race. However, if the dog gets the recessive white gene, then it is likely that the dog will receive a number of more than usual of other genes. These genes can lead to the deafness, shyness, sensitive skin or digestive system, allergies and yeast infections. Nontraditional white dogs used to be automatically disqualified from the quality of the show and often drowned at birth to prevent the registration of the dog or the extra care that the dog might have required.

Bruno the Dog
Jun 19
As our dog Bruno was getting older I noticed that his daily exercises were taking a toll on him. He didn’t run as long, he would pant harder, and he just wasn’t all that active anymore. I blamed it on him getting older because I had seen this happen many times with all of the other dogs I had growing up. At the next appointment with the vet I mentioned the aging behavior to him and he agreed that the dog is getting older and it is to be expected but that there are specific dog supplements that can help with the aging process. He said that they won’t make him be able to do strenuous activities anymore, but that they will help with his stiff muscles and joints. I went out and bought some and he seemed to be getting better almost overnight.
Many responsible pet owners load their dogs into their vehicles on a daily basis without a thought to a restraint system for the animal in the event of a collision. We diligently strap ourselves and out children into the vehicle, but it has never been a habit to do the same for our dogs. Dog seat belts are a great way to protect your dog in the event a crash occurs. Some dog owners have never seen or heard or of dog seat belts, so the fact that they are under used is not surprising. Not only do they protect the animal in a crash, but they protect people in the vehicle from being struck by the animal. They are also a good way to keep the dog from unexpectedly jumping around his vehicle, which can also be a safety hazard. There are several varieties of dog seat belts available but in pet stores and on the internet. The most comfortable would seemingly be a harness which fits over the dogs shoulders and chest and attached to the car seat belt with a clip in the back.

My pet animal is a dog. She is as white as SNOW, so we call her SNOWY. She is very beautiful and smart. she possesses small body with angel eyes. she is the member of our family. She loves all of us and shares our movement of joy and sorrow. She responds well to my call. She is not afraid. She loves traveling, so we keep fancy car seat covers on the seats. She enjoys playing with the ball, dislikes taking bath. Snowy has clean habits. She performs various jobs like picking up the newspapers, calling daddy for dinner and guiding my grand father to market. She has an extremely sensitive nose for food, animal and people. She can recognize the strangers and unwelcome visitors. My snowy has a good hearing power. She wags her tail when she is happy or when I return from college. Though small in body snowy is strong, agile and intelligent. She does not make house dirty. Snowy taught us to LOVE animals as they also have sentiments and feelings like we people.
Buying for Dogs
Apr 22
They do not make clothes like sweaters chat and commands that you can buy a dog, one that will suit your cat and put it on the cat? A few years ago, I bought one for my cat and placed it on her but she just lay on the floor and refused to move until I removed. I think it was too tight though. Although cats are too independent to wear dog clothes you man decided to put on them. They will either just lay there or look at you like you’re mad or they’ll Freak and running in the house. Cats are not here to impress you, you are there to impress. So, put the clothes for your dog, and do not make your cat miserable by making him wear.
Tips to choose a Dog Collar
Apr 12
Dog collars are available in a wide variety of color, texture and size. You should buy choose the length of the collar before buying it. The collar length can be the dog’s neck circumference plus the space just your two fingers can go .It should not be more than that. Otherwise the dog will slip its collar. For small puppies and growing dogs go for adjustable collars. Among all the collars leather ones are the most durable ones. If your dogs need to be protected in the nights from rash drivers you can tie a Reflector collar. Anybody is fond of dressing up their pet dog. Nylon dog collars will be the best for them because they are available in a wide range of brilliant colors. Always the collars must be bought from a pet store to obtain a good quality. You can have two or three numbers so that you can change them frequently to get an attractive look at the same time durability of the collar will be more.
The Right Kind of Collar
Mar 16
It’s important to choose the right collar for your dog. Very active dogs should wear a collar that can snap off if it gets snagged. For most dogs, a standard inch-thick fabric dog collars and leashes work well, sturdy and durable. Flea collars do help keep pests away. For training, shock/chock collars are often used. I personally object to them unless they are absolutely necessary, due to the stress they can cause the animal.
Taking Care of a Senior Dog
Feb 28
A senior dog (usually one over 7 years old) requires some adjustments for its care. A senior dog needs foods which are specially formulated for an older dog; such foods may contain glucosamine for arthritis and joint pain and may be slightly higher in calories to help the older dog maintain a comfortable weight. A senior dog still needs play and exercise time, although it’s likely that the play will be less vigorous than it used to be. A daily walk is perhaps the best exercise for a senior dog since its low-impact and helps protect weak and deteriorating joints. Finally, a senior dog needs something more than a cold hard floor or even a rug to sleep on. There are a number of orthopedic dog beds available. These beds are usually about 6 inches thick with egg-crate foam to cushion old joints. Feed your senior dog well, give him some daily activity, and give him a comfy place to sleep; all of these will keep your dog happier for the rest of its life.
